I am thinking of you as you are celebrating Easter and I hope the day was spent with your family. I was doing some things at the computer and couldn’t resist re-reading and replying to your message.
You asked if I would like to continue being with Liz and Kevin. If you meant, would I like to LIVE with them…..no, NEVER! I will never live with any of my children…..easiest way to hate them and for them to hate me.
Thank you for mentioning other books be Fredrik Backman! I have never looked for his other writing and now I will do just that as I truly enjoy the way he writes. I thought he was an elderly man and perhaps not still living but see that isn’t the case at all.
I opened and watched HEDGEHOG IN THE FOG as soon as I read your message last week. In my perception, everything about Russia was dark and dreary during the years of the Soviet Union. The cartoon was dark and dreary as well and I wondered if there was a hidden message that if you continue to try and do the right thing, everything will turn out OK in the end. I sent it to my great-grandchildren to watch and I will be eager to hear their comments since it is very different from many brightly colored and highly animated creations done electronically. I enjoy the simple drawings.
It is interesting that you mentioned the circus!!! I am certain I told you we went to the circus in Moscow on my 50th birthday!!! It was still the Soviet Union so a very interesting experience. KGB agents made it clear they were watching us then we were left at the arena with no way to get home. It was a freezing February night and a taxi finally came to the arena. Harold was on the verge of a panic attack as he always became anxious if he was cold! The circus was a delight and the KGB agents made sure we knew that we were out of place as they wouldn’t let us sit together!!!! After intermission, they left so we did sit together. The dog acts were the best. I am sure Vanya will have happy memories of the circus. There were many happy families when we were there and one of my most vivid memories.
Now I must re-fill my pill boxes. I fill them for 2 months at the time as I take different pills each morning and each night. It is very easy when I can just take them by opening a cover to one small compartment. I take pills for blood pressure, cholesterol and Vit. D. Do you take any daily pills?
Much love to you my friend and I look forward to your next message!
